Dear Vendor,

Welcome to our new approach to Supply Chain Management and Vendor relations.

St Vincent's Health & Aged Care established the Group Materials & Contract Management Service to support our member facilities and their Materials Management teams.

These internet pages will allow us to communicate to you the changes we are adopting throughout our member facilities over the coming months.

Some of the changes already made include;

  • renaming of our "Supply Departments" to "Materials Management Services";
  • instigation of a new single Regional Materials Management Committee (Product Evaluation) with clinical and non-clinical representation;
  • the introduction of an internal "Working Party" approach;
  • the introduction of "Specialty Focus Days", where representative groups meet with suppliers to discuss issues in their specialty area;
  • introduction of business case assessment and due diligence in procurement decision making;
  • the introduction of tendering for our future requirements; and
  • the introduction of a more formal Contract Management approach.


Some of the changes we are continuing to develop include
;

  • groupwide standardisation and rationalisation of;
  • products and product lines (currently in excess of 30,000 items);
  • inventory holdings; and
  • suppliers (currently 3,254)
  • the development of performance management, Key Performance Indicators, and quarterly reviews;
  • documenting and understanding our own Supply Chain Maps and associated Supply Chains of our suppliers; and
  • the writing of groupwide Procurement and Materials Management Policy & Procedure


The following documents, outline our expectations of vendors participating in our Supply Chains and provides you with group statements in relation to our business, in the areas of;

  • Mission, Vision & Values;
  • Safe Practice;
  • Environment;
  • Information Management;
  • Improving Performance;
  • Quality Assurance; and
  • Continumn of Care.

Please download / print these documents from this site and formally submit the Application Form only to us.
